One of the leading banks in the UAE is actively recruiting a Sanctions Compliance & Systems Specialist.

Key aspects of the role include:
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of Financial Crimes Compliance systems.
- Provide compliance systems expert input to the company’s digital transformation initiatives.
- Act as main point with IT/system vendors, lead and drive Sanctions Systems Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
- Provide guidance and support on sanctions compliance matters to relevant stakeholders within the organization.
- Analyse, suggest, drive, and implement the architecture, business requirements, testing, and validation of Sanctions Screening systems.
- Stay informed about regulatory initiatives and requirements to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
To be successful you will need to meet the following:
- At least 5 years of Compliance experience of which 3 years in Sanctions within the Financial Services Industry.
- Experience with compliance systems particularly Financial Crimes Compliance.
- Experience with IT/systems vendor management and business stakeholder management.
- Hands-on experience with FircoSoft screening systems.
- Strong understanding of screening technologies, software, algorithms, business rules, exceptions, and tuning capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Arabic is a plus.
