Head of Corporate Banking

Flow has partnered with a leading bank who are hiring a Head of Corporate Banking to be based in the UAE.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Develop and implement the strategic direction and business plan for the wholesale banking division, in alignment with the overall goals and objectives of the bank.
• Drive revenue growth and profitability by identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities, expanding the client base, and optimizing the product and service offerings.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to enhance business development opportunities and promote the organisation’s brand in the wholesale banking market.
• Establish and enforce robust risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigate potential risks associated with lending, investment, and other wholesale banking activities.
• Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing team of professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and coaching to enhance their skills, productivity, and engagement.
• Collaborate with product development teams to identify and develop innovative financial products and solutions that meet the evolving needs of wholesale banking clients.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to proactively adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge in the wholesale banking sector.
• Foster collaboration and coordination with other business units and departments within the organization to ensure seamless delivery of integrated financial services to clients.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and ethical standards across all wholesale banking activities, promoting a culture of compliance and strong governance.

To be successful you will need to meet the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Extensive experience in wholesale banking, corporate banking, or related financial services, with a proven track record of success in leadership positions.
• Strong knowledge of financial markets, banking products, and wholesale banking operations.
• Excellent understanding of risk management principles, regulatory requirements, and compliance frameworks applicable to wholesale banking.
• Strategic thinking and analytical skills to identify market opportunities, assess risks, and develop effective business strategies.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, foster a collaborative work environment, and drive organizational change.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Strong leadership presence, decision-making capabilities, and the ability to influence and negotiate effectively at senior levels.
